''Dr. Stephen Kaplan founded the Vampire Research Center in 1972, and is now considered the world's greatest expert on modern vampires.

Since his first radio interview on the Joel Martin Show on WBAB in 1974 he has been on over 700 radio and television programs, including "Real People," "That's Incredible," the Tom Snyder Show, and "To Tell The Truth." He has been interviewed by Cosmopolitan Magazine and Playboy, among others, and by newspapers across the country and in Canada and Europe.

In addition to numerous awards of recognition, Dr. Kaplan has recently revieved the Albert Einstein Award for his pioneering research; and in 1981 he was elected to the Parapsychology Hall of Fame.
