Rita FejérThe present study examines the most important German-Hungarian and Hungarian-German dictionaries from the turn of the century to the end of World War II from a meta-lexicographical point-of-view. The detailed analysis of the individual dictionaries is preceded by an overview over the history of German-Hungarian and Hungarian-German lexicography. The appendix contains an alphabetical as well as a chronological list of all German-Hungarian and Hungarian-German dictionaires.
